loud annoying noise from belt!!

just had my water pump die on my rb30 so when i was changing that i decided to put new belts on and everything was good but when i was leaving i got a very loud screeching noise sounded like a overly tight belt...

i have worked out its the altenater belt cos when i take it off theres no noise and put it back on and the noise is back also i have loosened the belt and the noise just gets deeper...dont know what to do any ideas would be good!

deglaze the pulleys where the belts runs , graphite powder works a treat mixed with silcone lube

or too loose with the belt
tighten it use 2 ppl and something to wrench it out and tighten
