Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or knows how to help because it would be much appreciated. I've got a vlt running straight gas and whenever i do a cold start i have to turn the ignition on and then open the bonnet and press the button in the middle of converter to send some gas to the engine and then it will start fairly easily, but once its been warmed up it will start perfectly for the rest of the day without having to go near the converter, by the way its a B2 converter if that makes any difference. My second question is about the air/vacum line going to the top of the brake booster into the big rubber bung, whenever i go above say 12 pounds boost it pops out leaving me with practically no way of breaking, the only way im driving semi-safely at the moment is running lower boost and its got tie-wire wrapped around it as a backup for the moment. Sorry if these are silly questions but im not a self proclaimed expert and i'd rather ask people that have a better idea then me before i start fiddling, i typed vl brake booster into the search bar at the top of this page and it was mostly about vt brake upgrades, so i apologise in advance if this has been asked before i just couldnt find anything. thanks. josh
I am unsure about the button on the b2 converter, but as for the booster..
The brake booster runs off manifold vacuum, running a turbo alters manifold pressure, i havn't heard of this problem or ways around it though, sorry mate.
could you possibly screw in a barb fitting and then hose clamp it on the booster i have not had a close look at this sorry
interesting thought, might be worth looking into, thanks for the ideas
have just been told that a one way valve in the fitting that plugs into the brake booster bung is shot so ill try replacing that and see how it goes
