Thread: i swapped my vs auto for a vl 5spd

    Default i swapped my vs auto for a vl 5spd

    just looking for a few honest opinoins on who got the better deal
    VS :
    - stuffed gearbox
    - collapsed tie rod ends
    - god knows what wrong with the cooling system
    - reasonable intirior
    - 3 years of me driving it
    + brand new f brake rotors pads + service on rest line flush ect (gearbox whent a couple of days later)
    + custom white vinal head liner
    + ok paint
    + custom exhaust
    VL:
    - leaking radiator (fixed now)
    - poor paint, cracked bumpers ect
    + lowerd slightly
    + manual
    + reasonable intirior (for a standard vl)
    + manual
    + recent rebuild on motor by a preveus owner (apparently)

    To be honest, a VL is worth more, have a lot more to offer, as far as modifications go, and usually sell for more than the VR/VS.

    I did it, swapped my unreg VR berlina, for a VL 5 speed, haven't regretted it one bit, love the VL.

    i know and they look good so easily all i did was throw some 17" VY SS rims under it its already dropped about an inch and has a sports exhaust and im turning a few heads already and the paints still chiped and the bumpers are cracked and faded

    all my bumpers were cracked and i got them all from a wreckers
    but now you can buy them from super cheap auto brand new! lol
    parts guide.

    then i think its in exterior or pannels and parts..
    that is.. if you want new bumpers

    cheers dont know if ill sand and paint these or replace em yet wanna throw a kit on it when i have some spare $$$ didnt see anything for the doors though, not there, or should i just look harder...
    anyway this is the vs i swapped only pics i had none of the vl yet im workin on it

    yeah i cant find em either
    there cheap at the wreckers.
    and just sand them back and spray em

    looks better when theyve been re sprayed
