Hi
I'm considering (and saving for) a turbo on my N/A VL Commodore RB30.
I'm a huge fan of the idea of 250+ HP, but I'd like to know if they make blow off valves that don't make that stupid noise.
Others might think it's cool, but I don't like the sound of a pigeon under the bonnet.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks, Premium.
Go to Repco they sell the quiet ones
Yeah, its called a plumb-back...
The pigeon noise is from running with no BOV...
The Pssshhhht noise is from a BOV...
A quality plumb back BOV shouldn't make much noise at all (and is legal)
What your reffering to is called a dose/flutter caused from compressor surge. Its not a BOV.
BOVS make the gay chhhhhhh often found on them rice box jap cars. bovs can also make no noise.

I had a GFB Steath BOV. Had both a trumpet and also plumb back. About $500 from memory
