Hey peoples!!!
What type of gauges would be best for my vl turbo?
Electronic or Mechanical OIL Pressure Gauge??
Electronic or Mechanical TEMP Gauge??
I have a boost gauge and a tacho already so dont need that. just wanting to know which is better, electronic or mechanical?
i lean towards mechanical.. i have mech oil gauge only thing that can happen is that the oil line to rear of gauge can blow open as it is just a nylon tube so u may be covered in oil :P
has not happened to me but has to a a bloke i work with :P
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
Especially with the PSI they run at, and the temperature at proper operating temperature!
so electronic is better you reckon?
oh anbd trent did you mount the gauges on the bonet?
seen your old thread from ages ago
hmmmm i didnt install it... some old fella i got the car off had done it...
how did ya mount them on the bonnet bro?
electronic ones last longer and are worth the extra
theres a bolt on 1 end of the steering rack that connects it to whatever is on the bottom of the steering column and I cant tighten it,I cant find anything to put a spanner on, is there a bolt?
both bumpers have top trims made of plastic, these are now usually brittle and weak and dont seem to be available as non genuine parts
Ive seen VLs equipped with what seem to be new non genuine bumperbars with no top trims at all, so they look untidy
does anyone know of anything that can be used instead of the top trims to make the car look neater
it seems the front bumper top trim has to be removed to get at the bottom headlight screws
Ive been told that the top trim needs the front bumper removed in order to remove the top trim, does this mean the front bumper has to come off to replace the headlight
whan I removed mine, the top trim broke off in my hand so I didnt face this problem
do all other old cars have problems with brittle plastic or did holden use cheap plastic ?
this thread is about gauges not the stuff you have posted about i would like to know more about gauges not your stuff
