i blown up my head and they told me that it costs u 600 hundred for fix it, then i got second hand engine for 300 hundred dollars which is 120000 km.200 dollar to fit in 500 bucks altogether.its better like this because i can use good parts from old engine.try this way u wont be regret

wow my car oly has 45000km.

mate i can wind back speedo's with the best of em. An average car does 18000km a year, do the maths and some research and u may find that beast is really a 350k'er.

I 'had this friend' who sold their old vl5ltr when he was a nasty pice of work and it magically went from 302 to 189 k's. I worked in car yards too long to see what went on. I went into a wrechers in Greenacre in sydney once and there was a speedo on the wall with 45 k's on it and he wanted $180 for the turbo dash.

Shit we sent out 2 EL falcons to a speedo joint to wind them back to put them on the lot, they were 18months old and had 172 thou on both, we sent them back to 40.

The genuine article does happen, but very rarely. My father-in-law sold his '88 manual Skyline last year that he'd had since new. I used to pretend it was like driving a VL because of all the important bits it shared. He's been retired for 10 years so it didn't get a lot of use: 74,000 km only over 16 years. Permanently garaged, engine bay was spotless even though he never cleaned it and not a drop of oil on the garage floor. Only major work was the diff replaced at 65,000 - he used to change gears at such low revs that it nearly stalled every time. He only got $3000 for the trade-in, I would have bought it but 3 cars already is too many for the missus!!

did he get the diff done because it wined at 80-100, happened in them all, mine had it. They would never blow, just usual to wine. Mine did 200k when i sold her in 2000, still a pup.
