    Default how much to change master cylinder by mechanic

    hey guys. ive bought a new genuine master cylinder from holden and i need to put it on my VL. i need to get a blue slip for my car and a few other things by my mechanic so im just wondering how much it would cost to change ? hours it will take etc...

    its quite easy but messy

    you need to drain the brake fluid first,
    then simple as unplug brake switch, unbolt the brake lines, front mount braket and the two bolts too the brake booster

    replace with new one and bleed the brakes,
    hour or 2 it should take

    i know that but i really cant be bothered and with heaps of work now i dont have that time so ill just drop it off at a mechanic. so im probably looking at $150 labor am i correct ?

    do it urself mate, mech's can charge what they want and seeing itsthe xmas hoildays, dont expect the cheapest.

    hi im getting it done on the 11th. i range the mechanic is a mate of ours. its $85 for labour. i already bought the ms brand new genuine for $180. so pretty much $85 and the brakes will work lol
