hmm so what are the legal requirements for rims?
well i am n o expert but i was told that the legalalities were it cannot be no more then 2" bigger then the original rim size, and the wheel (including rubber) had to remain the same, but like i said that is what i was told.

i think if the car came out with 15's your allowed 17's as i have 17's and have not been done at all for them!
2 inch rules does not exist anymore.
Overal diameter of wheel + tyre can only increase by 15mm from biggest factory wheels + tyres fitted to the car.
Hope that helps.
CHeers.
yep as stated above
Thats what ive been told.
Just a question does the 15mm go from the "highest model"?
Like lets say you had an exec that came with 16's but the Calais come with 18's do you have to go by your series? or could you go by the calais? ( bad example I know but.. Still should get what I mean.
well you could go by vl's came out with 14's and 15's you can go by the 15's
its by whatever your model states on the tyre plackard.alot of people sey its the other way where sey a walky has 16s you can go by there size but this is not true.its whatever your car states on tyre plackard
Ohh yeah thats right, cause some people change over the cards to get away with it, thanks for jogging my memory lol.
yeah but cops arent stupid and new ones just dont look like the old origional ones lol
Argh, Elenor wheels. The most "original" wheel around*vomits*

So if you have an exec, it's the biggest factory fitted to the exec. If a calais, then whatever they fitted factory for the calais.
So say it's an Exec, work out what the overal diameter of wheel + tyre is, and you can go 15mm bigger overall. I also beleive there is a 25mm track width increase rule.
And another rule that says once everything if on and ready, the front wheels cannot foul any body, suspension or inner guard panels during normal opeation including full lock to lock.
Similar deal for the back, so the wheel cannot fould the body or inner guard panels durig it's FULL suspension travel.
2 inch rule has been gone for a while now and I'm pretty sure it's gone Australia wide since it's ADR (ADR 24 to be specific) regulations that govern this type of modification.

yeah didnt think of that lol so it still realy came with 16s just been changed at dealer
