Having trouble with my VL's pop up lights.

Hey guys, i have a 1986 VL calais.. Whenever i wash the car the pop up lights start going up and down even without the car on. i know that this is prety common, and i would just unplug the battery.

But now the pop up lights aren't working at all.. does anyone know what possible problems could cause it? eg. the relay, motor and also how i can check?

any help would be good

it is a common prob mate.. usually the relay gets wet and makes it go nuts.... change the relay and see how ya go

Is it actually a commen problem? I would LOL if that happend to me if i had the calais lights i can just imagine it now :

yeah its a pain in the arse as lazza said change the relay mainly thats the thing that stuffs up first
