hi guys, just curious how you get the barrel off, if the barrel itself doesnt have the slit that you put the screwdriver into?
the car i removed the barrel off was all as described in the howto, but mine is not
any help would be great
regards
the slot is there but you need to bang the screw driver through the casting, it will be very thin excess cast covering the slot. this is normal.

my VL Commodore when it gets to operating temp bogs down seems like it wants to stall you give it a bit more throttle an she still goes
mate, you should start your own thread for more opinions you may not get much notice in someone elses thread.
firstly I would suggest something simple, like take your air intake duct off pull the accelerator cable so the butterfly flap in the throttle body opens up give it a good spray of carby cleaner and scrub inside it with a light wire brush or an old toothbrush then rinse it with more carby cleaner then start her up and see how you go or if your keen take the throttle body off and give it a good clean as above.
if this does not work start your own thread and we will take it from there.![]()
