okay here we go. i have an r31 skyline with an rb30 in it. (yeh boo, hiss its not a vl but it has an rb30 in it, and i am a part of this forum and not a skyline forum) and i took it to a trackday at winton and thrashed it for a whole day with no problems exept for it overheating once (and yes i let it cool down agen). we got it home and backed it off the trailer, i drove it up the court and into someones drive way, backed out and it stalled as io put it into first to pull away. i thought i just stalled it. but it more cut out than anything. anyway, i started it and drove it back down the hill, drove up the nature strip and it cut out again. i tried to start it to move a little further but it would start... it just wont kick! its turning over but very easlily, almost like it has no compression. but theres no water or oil to say ive cracked a head or done a headgasket.
it :
has spark
is getting fuel

air flow meter?

and nah. havent done that yet. good call
thanks for the help gents
sure there is spark...???
sounds like Crank angle Sensor to me
If u unplug your AFM and try start it will it start and idle as soon as u hit the throttle it stalls its your AFM
if no spark and coil is good its either CAS or Power Transistor
