As the title suggests does an R32 Skyline RB20 turbo manual box fit a RB30 turbo VL Commodore?
Is this a stronger box then the standard 5 speed non turbo? Externally they certainly look a lot stronger with a lot more ribbing.
Will it bolt stright up with RB30 starter, flywheel and tailshaft?
What clutch would you recommend?
Thanks Pete
There the same box. The rb20 turbo gearbox has 2 syncros in 1st and 2nd gear where the rb30 mf5 only has 1 syncro. Other then that they are basically the same.. Both boxes are fine for a standard turbo conversion.
