VR/VS statesman seats & door trim in VL

hey again guys. ive been looking up these threads alot with vs conversions of seats & trims etc... im thinking of buying vs statesman seats for my vl and also the trims . with the seats do they bolt in easy ?? or is there alot of mods that need to be done ? also do the door trims bolt right on or are they different ? if they are what other door trims could accomodate for them as im thinking of putting leather in it after ive painted it.

You could probably adapt the seats (I'm not sure), but there is no way that they will bolt straight in.

There is noooooo way the trims are a straight bolt in. The air conditioning vents in the VR/VS are attached to the doors and would foul on the VL dash. There's the possibility that you could run the trims without the aircon blocks, but the interior door handles are in different places, and on top of that, the VS trims are probably bigger than the VL ones and just wouldn't fit the dimensions of the door to begin with. In the one VS to VL dash conversion that I have seen, they had to one side of the dash shorter just to get it to fit inside the cabin.

So, short answer, no.

I guess the only other door trim that would be able to accommodate your leather would be VL trims. Custom VL interior would be much easier.

I'm buying vs seats and putting them into my vl this weekend with a bit of luck mate, it is not very hard to do and if you are interested ill tell you what needs to be done after i have actually completed it, basically there are 4 bolts and im 90% sure they bolt striaght in with little mods, however vt onwards wont. The door trims however are a no go and would take a lot of customising
