vl wagon turbo needs help

hey guys,just put a turbo on my standard rb30,really need to know what else to do so ican get some more out of it.its only boosting 5psi i think.

if only boosting 5psi could be your wastegate being too weak, so a boost controller installed to restrict the boost getting to wastegate and opening it prematurely, trial and error man goodluck
dont overboost it or u will be picking up pieces of your engine so be smart about it :P

yeah im running 12-13psi all day everyday on a stock motor, hasnt missed a beat

Sounds like a good setup. Next thing i would do is get a full 3" zorst with high flow cat, adjustable boost controller. Then take it to a dyno tuner and get them to up the boost and tune it safely. What type of ecu are you using? standard vlt ecu or n/a ecu?

its a stock ecu but theres a place here thats does upgraged ones.i should of come to this site sooner ive had nore info in 2 days than the last six months gotta love the ozzies for the goods when it comes to holdens.

depends on say high flow injecotrs/turbo injectors the ecu needs to be upgraded as the pulse rate is different for the turbo injectors to the N/A

yeah thats prob what spring he has in his external wastegate...BUT an adjustable boost controller will fix that.

and if you want a cheap one, go this, its what i have and had no spiking problems at all.

Its all in the tune.... you can run 20psi through N/A high comp... Though i wouldnt run anything higher then 7 pound on n/a injectors as they already run lean on 6psi. It might seem fine but it aint going to last several years.

the turbotech controller is simple as but they work great have one sitting here in front of me .autospeed magazine dyno tested them against 400 buck electronic boost controllers got good feedback on them
