Fuel Smell

Hello everybody,

When i drive my car whether its for 5 minutes or 3 hours, it has this smell.

I stop and get out of my car and all you can smell is petrol, there's no leak and it runs fine, does anyone know what it could be?

check you're fuel lines in the engine bay......they are probably old and weak......i had the same problem and it was a fuel line from the pressure regulator.....

there is a stone guard behind the right back wheel. it covers the pipe where the fuel cap is. behind this guard are breather hoses for the fuel tank. in my car they had perished and broken. I just mreplaced the hoses and it was fine. its easy to get to aswell. u may need to jack the car up at the back to get a bit more room in there and then you just hav to undo 3 screws

mate, u got cracked fuel lines...i got the same problem, pretty common with the older commies...wouldnt bother trying 2 replace the fuel lines as theres 2 many 2 pick and choose from...just put up with it...just a little hint, dont fill ur tank more then 3/4 of a tank and it should gradually go away...nothing 2 serious, wouldnt worry about it if i was u...more trouble then its worth

check the fuel injectors.Avisual check is all that is needed. Look for wetting on the injector itsself,or wetting of the manifold. seems to be a problem.

mate i had the same fuel problem gave me a headache it cost me $16.00 4 the breather hoses and its a prick ov a job but its worth it
