Hi guys this is something which some members might find useful, it could have been posted b4 I dont know. ALL cars with a o2 sensor must use an OXYGEN SENSOR SAFE / SENSOR FRIENDLY silicone sealer when doing repairs on their engines or it will Kill your o2 sensor resulting in bad fuel ecomomy and high emissions...
safe guide is to read the back of anything before using it, all silicones we used to use explained that it could or couldnt be used near exhausts.
Maniseal is the only crap you use on exhausts anyway, goes on goo, sets like plaster.
If you want more inches, STROKE IT!
even if you use it on timing cover the chem in the non safe stuff (silicone) can be drawn in with air from crankcase..

I've been reading a few of these threads and some mention the o2 sensor...what is it for? And where's it located? thnx
on exhaust, just below manifold. Its a sensor which reads how rich the fuel is in the exhaust (you always have a bit unburnt) and it tells the ECU to make the air/fuel mixture richer or leaner in fuel.

i used some sort of boating glass siliconny type of stuff. its cream coloured. :my:
