steering rack said to be worn out

my VL wobbles sometimes on fast curves and now a mechanic friend says the steering rack is worn out, even though the overall milage isnt all that much, and that air hose between both sides of the rack is still in place

the power steering works perfectly, does this sound like a worn out rack?

hard to tell as we are not driving it and feeling the problem itself.... how are the tie rod ends/ ball joints could be these as well

NOW A STEERING SPECIALIST SAYS THE RACK IS ok will check the other things

the steering specialist should have told you what the real problem is if he inspected the vehicle on a hoist.
would have taken him 2 mins to work it out.

Need to replace rack end on VR. Is there a step by step I can look at? Should I undo the rack end before the tie rod?
