Hey can any tell me how to replace a aerial, Cheers Jake
well depending on the condition of the car it can be a very diffucult task, if its semi bogan your fine because you can just bend the head of a coathanger and ram it in, but if its semi clean your in trouble cos your gonna want to bend it into the shape of australia or a similar shape.......i cant say ive done an aerial on a vl but with the other commodores its mostly been a case of turning your wheel full lock to the left to give a little extra room then pulling the plastic guard out from under the left 1/4 panel (i mostly did later model commodores) then undoing whatever external fastener was holding it on top of the guard and undoing the bolts inside the guard on electric models then pulling everything out through the bottom of the guard its self after unplugging it from the back of the head unit. replacing was simply pushing it up through the guard and fastening everything back up and running the aerial wire back through to the head unit and bobs your uncle.....like i said i havent done a vl so i probably shouldnt be saying squat but on the off chance this helps in the slightest im gonna post it anyways.
yeah your right and on some cars there is a joiner so it goes from the aerial to just inside the car under left kick panel, then joins to another section to your headunit....pretty easy actually
bit old, but does the cable have to go right to the head unit or is there a join under or near the glove box?
