man its quite easy if u do it properly as in not massive boost and blow your motor first run
i have just done one at christmas time on my VL
if it is a series 2 block yes u will have the provisions for oil and water feeds to the turbo and oil return on the exhaust side of the block.
for water return u simply plumb into the return heater hose on intake side at firewall.
depending on the turbo u want u may only need oil lines, this is what i have done i have a TO4E which is only journal bearing (oil) turbo which does not require water as well for cooling. see pics below in my signiture.
    a list of things man

Turbo with (internal Wastegate) depends on turbo may need External Wastegate if does not have one attached
Turbo manifold and dump pipe to cat(can be made up after dump pipe that is)
oil/water lines (pirtek/Enzed) and are expensive.
intercooler and piping (recommended for high compression setup to stop pinging/detonation, but its all in the tune if not, mine is intercooled and timing is factory at 15 degrees No pinging.
Go new Plugs just the bcpr6es11 they are stock turbo plugs as well as N/A
Turbo ECU and Injectors(recommended as N/A max out at approx 7psi)but i have used stock ecu and injectors running 6 psi atm with no probs.
    boost gauge.
new manifold gasket for turbo manifold and gaskets for turbo
can put new manifold studs in.(i didnt)

Man its not really that dawnting and quite an easy process.. can be hard in places to get spanners and so forth but thats working on cars for ya.
Do it smart and properly and it will last.
    Is this car Manual??
    how many Km's on clock?
Give us a rundown and other members will help you through as well
    Goodluck
    Have fun

Calais turbo is also your best bet for vl turbo advice, although there is nothing wrong with any vl blokes on here, there are a lot more over there to offer advice and help

high comp setup = more torque as well
to have same booost as turbo Vl A8 motor would be less on high comp motor yeah meaning say 7 psi is equal to approx 10-12 psi on turbo motor??
    thats what i thought

is there a way of doing this without the water/oil lines from the block? eg i have a series 1 engine.
apparently some joints do the whole conversion for under 2,000. would i have to pay more for them to tap water and oil feeds?

I would much rather his input here rather than starting his own topic.
This has been covered so many times 'how much to turbo my fully sik vl'?

I have the answer for everyone so this never comes up again: between $1 and $8000.

Done, sorted, use the thread search.

You can turbo the series 1 block but it would be pretty hard if youve never done this shit before.... oil feed from the oil pressure sender, oil drain into the sump, water feed from the thermostat and water return to heater hose.... Much easier to get a series 2 block.

Piece of piss just make sure u get a s2 vl or u wil need to get the s1 block milled out for bolts or drop a s2 motor in it.
