hey all
just a quick question.
Im running 17in mags with 235s on them but the tires rub on the inner arch closest 2 the diff when turning corners. How can i fix or do i have 2 get different offset rims.... Im running vt ss rims if helps.
Dont say roll ur guards cause thats not the guard im meaning.

turnes out all i can do is either get the rear tubbed r replace every bush and replace the springs with stiffer 1s so it cuts down on the body roll....... looks like im gona save up and get the rear tubbed![]()

try 215 tyres
or 10mm spacers behind the rims.
Nobody wants to play with me
yeah spacers as jatsvl has stated this will hopefully stop the inner rubbing...
then u may need to roll the guards as the tyre is further towards the outter body.
my guards are rolled as i have only 225's on and they rubbed
I could get spacers but im just gonna get rims with differrent offset...
And im not going 215s... They dont grip well with a car that has more power than u think.
Strange tho... I put them on my vs wagon and they do the same thing but not on my mates vs ute... wat gives?

i'd say youve got flogged out rear suspension cos my 225's never rub, tho they are on stock calais rims.
This is good site to watch.I found it informative as I have been researching a lot lately on such matters such as you talk about.
im not one to know alot about commodores, but i do know when turning quite quickly, your tire will roll sideways, thus hitting your guard, so, if its THAT close to your guard, it still may rub even with stiffer suspension, as the suspensons doesnt stop tire roll. i dont suggest beleive me and go buy super expensive tires, but in the future, maybe think about lower profile tires, this will cut out some tire roll since theres less tire wall.
my two cents
^^^ its got very little to do with tire roll cause i was running 17s with low profile tires. I dunno anymore should just sell the b*#ch.....
