Vh sle seats into vl sedan = headaches

well we got most of it done right up to the point where we bolt down the passenger seat and then we realized the rails in a vl 6 cyl are offset on the passenger side (one is higher than the other due to the cat being there) this was very sisapointing because it really looks and feels classy with the vh sle seats (have to put up with 3 seats and a standard seat for now.

anyone got any ideas on like how to modify the seat or the rails to make it fit safely? (within reason)
would an auto trimmer be able to do it?

see if you cant buy the rail itself from someone. When i bought my calais seats from ebay, they came without rails. You may be able to adapt the rails or simply remove them and replace with VL ones.

How would you go about removing the bottom of the Vh sl/e seat and attaching it to the the VL seat? could I do this myself? is there welding involved?


or could I remove the backrest from the sl/e seat and attach it to the bottom half of the VL seat?
