1987 5 speed manual Holden Commodore Berlina VL for $5500. 115000 something Km's on the clock, 4 months rego, HDT Bodykit with boot lip, all genuine Holden interior materials, tint windows (not too dark, just the way I like it), cd player, Brand new battery and a Alarm + immobiliser kit.
The seller says he hasen't had anything wrong go with it at all. When he first baught it he had to some work on it to get it running such as: reconditioning the gearbox, new headlamps, front & rear shocks, power steering pump, steering rack, fuel pump, hydraulic lifters, brake disks & pads
Is it worth it for $5500? Maybe I could bargain with the fellow
What are your thaughts?
Cheers,

the km readers are notorious for breaking, is it still reading as car is driven...
sounds overpriced to me, check around windscreen and back window for rust, use a magnet for any plastic repairs
5.5k ? It better be a bloddy Turbo sitting on senator sigs, and a custom paint job for that price....

Shop around, you will get something better.
without a doubt mate, not worth it. you'd be much better to get a newer car for that price, get alot more features for the money.

2500-3000 in my opinion
Thanks everyone for your input. I've just talked to the guy and he said he isnt going below 5200. I guess I'll just wait for a cheaper one to come up
you could find a mint calais for that price
I paid 5k for my berlina in mint condition 3 years ago. Mint interior and exterior back then... Still has 100% no rust. Get some pics up and we will know what its worth. If no rust, mint interior/exterior it will be worth 5k.

i got a smick one on gas for 800 mate, so u wouldnt wanna be spending a cent on it after you buy it...
it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it!
5500 for a berlina is extremely high, regardless of k's the odometers work then stop then work then stop and so on so don't buy a vl because of k's
5500 will get a calais turbo!
go back to him in about 3mths then make an offer cos unless he drops the price he will still have then.
I saw a stock berlina auto sedan 143k on 17's $2500 and thought what a rip off.
Nobody wants to play with me
i brought my first mint stock stock vl in year 2000 for $4500 with under 200,000kms i cant beleave how much people are asking these days
hahaha wow overpriced much... he is dreaming

$5500 for a vl...... tell him he's dreaming
That actually looks in pretty good condition. Id go check it out.
$5000 for a calais turbo??? Would be the biggest hunk of mc junk around!
If you want a "VL" with rust, dents, shit paint, rust, scratches, rust, molested interior, rust expect to pay 800-2.5K. If you want a clean well looked after VL expect to pay 4k+

lol meh motors are worth next to nothing these days an ill be doing it proper. haha might chuck on a 25 head mmmmmmmmmmm dohc but mmmmmmmm $$$$$$$$$ lol
i would drop a 2.5 in it so much more reliable
yeah so ive heard to but dirty thirtys are cheaper.. seen a 1jz project that would be nuts power to weight.... neo conversion aye???
in the long run you will always be doing something to the rb30's lol
althe rb25's i have had have nevere ever missed a beat
pretty easy conversion yeah just the loom an wiring would be a pain im guessing. shouldnt have a problem puttin a r33 gbox on a 25 yeah???
seems tempting lol
r33 gear boxes are off the 2.5 anyway
