Hey Guys,
When i start my vl is cold she runs like a dream, until you go for a long drive and stop, it idles really rough and even conks out. When you finally get it going again (still hot) it runs great. it is only when the car is at idleing mode, that it runs rough. Any help or suggestions appreciated!

A common problem with the 3-litre Nissan engine is where the idle deteriorates to the point where it
will not even run. Before that happens there is an initial loss of power, which just gets worse. A
prime cause of this is the Air Mass Meter drifting beyond specifications - check the load pin (3rd
in from back of engine - white wire) against an earth should have KOEO no less than 1.26v (excessive
lean) and no more 1.32v (rich). If this load setting base is out, you won't be able to adjust the idle
mixture (1st pin in from front of AMM) factory lean at 3.6v to richer say 2.0v to a satisfactory
mixture - AMM will need replacing."
Half a carton and still going!!! Now thats Economy
is the air mass meter, a air flow meter? Can someone please explain the difference? much appreciated. oh and where it is! Thanks
the afm is the little sort of almost triangle thingo just above the air box on the pipes way to the engine. its about 3 inches away. and it has a wire going to it which finishes in a little conection bout an inch an a half wide.
the afm and amm are the same i think. 90 percent sure of that
