Hi All.
Okay so i have a 5 speed Manual VL Sitting at home. The Body, Interior and Paint work is perfect however the old 3ltr is a little tired and worn out. I do however have a VX 3.8 Ecotec engine sitting at home with only 22,000kms on it. Was thinking of putting it in the VL. Only objection is that its coming out of an Auto VX and hoping to be in a Manual VL.
What needs to be done to make this happen. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated. Would it be easier just to use the VX auto aswell??
Thanks.
Corey

I'd start by asking why your VL has a 202 in it............
VL manual wont bolt up to a VX motor ?
Think ull have to use the VX trans as well.
K frame,
ECU,
Loom,
etc
Just the basics of the VX

If all you have is a bare ecotec I would source an RB30et and go from there.
1. It'll bolt straight in
2. Your gearbox will fit (manual)
3. Ecotecs are for taxi's
4. It'll probably be alot cheaper
5. It'll be far, far easier to get bulk power out of (even if i do dislike nissan motors)
^. Thats what I'd do, but then I'd never own a VL............
3l is rb30. 202s are 3.3l arent they
