    Default Wipers?

My wipers are being wierd, they sometimes just stop working, it can be for months at a time and then randomly they will come back again.. All fuses and relays are fine, changed over the switch in the dash, swapped the motor, checked for them gettin stuck on anything and come up trumps :S

Anyone else have this issue its heaps annoying, every time it rains i got no wipers!

right hand kick panel there is a large plug now when it rains water can run through this plug and cause problems..generally coming in from around windscreen,, have a look and see if there is any remnence of water here....
mine does this when it rains heavy for like a day.. my intermittent works then it stops halfway through a wipe i need to put it on 1 to move them...and then my int does not work for days untill it dries out.
so in saying this u may have corroded wires in this plug causing the same problem

the plug is just behind the bonnet release lever and it is attached to the windscreen/rear window module, and controls wipers and demister.

SPOT ON GUYS! Looked under the dash, found the big black box. It wasnt wet or anything no signs of corrosion, so i pulled off that carpet underlay looking stuff and saw that one of the plugs wasnt clipped all the way in must of been bumped when doin stereo wiring. All works good now

    Thanks heaps!

It lasted about 10 minutes haha, after closer inspection the brown wire is loose, and when i wiggle it the wipers work on one angle but let it go and they drop out.

So im just gonna cut off another plug from a wreckers and re wire it in. i couldnt figure out how to get the single metal pin out..

look at the plug where the spade connector is front on(providing it is the female plug) and there will be a little square hole under the main hole where the connection is made with the 2 plugs.... put a pin in here and it will push a barb back so u can pull out the wire and the spade connector on it from the plug.
then u can recrimp and put it back in..

Will give this a shot tommoro So if i got this right, if im looking at the loom plug that goes into the black box, from the end that plugs in. I will see all the holes with the little silver bits in them, push a pin in the faulty on and then re crimp it?
