    Default VL Blowing Black Smoke

    Howdy VL Owners
    I am one. My VL is blowing black smoke and nothing my partner can do , can fix it.
    Month ago my injectors where leaking. My Man fixed that. (hated smelling the petrol)
    You drive and it wasn't idling right. Especially at the traffice lights. My verison is like if I had v8 Supercar!
    Replaced the Oxygen sensor. My AFM is roughly newish (ACA) Have used my bro's one .. No difference.
    My man was going to pull out my petrol tank today but read (oh I have printed many ideas to do)
    What did he say sucked out the return fuel line to the tank. No difference.
    At my wits end. So is my man!
    Does anyone else have an idea? I think it was last year replaced Fuel regulator.
    Only newish oil, plugs and leads.
    My back tail light is brown and I hate it, you can't remove it. Grrrr (Car is white!!)
    Love to have any ideas?

    Might be bad injectors, try some good injector cleaner.
    And or disconect the battery for 5 mins, to reset the computer....

    or stuck auxilary air control or idle air control valve, or a faulty coolant temperature sensor.

    rich can also be a blocked air filter as well........
    or someone has stuffed with the screw setting on the AFM make sure it is set to factory..
    do a search for ohm/resistance setting not at home so i dont know off the top of my head

    Check engine temp sensor and check the vacuum hose that goes into your fuel pressure regulator. The vacuum hose can fall off or perish and crack so it leaks. If it leaks or falls off your fuel pressure will go up so you use more fuel.

    Faulty ECT check for sensor output check ECM grounds , test for open circuit on ECT wiring and AFM

    its possible that the fuel return line near the swirl pot is partly blocked, causing too high pressure in the fuel injection system
    as everyone says, black smoke means its running rich
