hay everyone just wondering if i could put vs sturts in my vl commodore
yes! But link arm setup is different, I think you have a choice to use the old link arm setup or adapt to the new.
Nobody wants to play with me
i spose you could providing if the lower arm is the same bolt up as the vl into the k frame i have both models and have done suspension mods to them never looked that into doing it but visually are totally different setups both at the bottom and where the strut inserts into the tower, would be interesting to do some r&d into to see if its possible as it camber adjustment so much easier in the later models, over the earlier ones
if it doesn't have a lion in the badge it not worth having
Top is different, bottom is different. Someone on here has done VS into VN I think, not really worth it though, it won't handle any differently.
what you need for the VT brake upgrade in a VL is: VT calipers, VT discs, custom hoses, pads, and Hub adaptors (you can buy the whole lot in a kit). The VL uses a single-piece hub/brake disc, but the hub adapter allow you to use a seperate disc (which is what the VT's have). There is absolutely no need to change the struts, all you need is those hub adapters, and the VT calipers bolt straight onto the factory VL mounts
Or you can go the VE upgrade, $700 for the complete set up with 298mm rotors. No need to change anything else either.
VT calipers with the adapter hose works fine with VQ/VL turbo hubs, there exact size for the stock VT pad only problem is you wont be able to go any bigger then that without the adaptor hubs and rotors, i did my entire conversion including bigger booster and MS for around 150 bucks
ok sick i gess ill do that
