    Default VL Aircon no worky

What would be a few issues with aircon not working? I just blows air as if it wasnt on aircon.

check to see if the clutch on the front of the air conditioner compressor (in the engine bay) engages when you switch the air con on. If it doesnt move you have a problem. Possibly low gas, take it to aircon repairer and get it regassed. It will likely be $100 to $200 for a regas. You should also get them to check any o rings in the aircon system as they are usually the source of leaks.

Some compressors have an auto shutoff if there is low gas in the system to prevent damage.

The other way to test is to turn the car on... idle it and then switch the aircon on, if there is no drop in engine revs when you turn it on then the compressor is likely not operating.

You should also check your fuses and relays (likely in the fuse box in your engine bay) if you have a separate one for aircon.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the input. I have checked the fuses and there all ok. I will be sure to check the fan clutch etc.

it is either not engaging because of low pressure, or an electrical fault.
i have seen a few go from dirty wiring, which heated up and then went open.
there is only one wire to the compressor so check it also.
you can see if there is voltage present when its running.
if there is, disconnect it at the plug and test its resistance to ground.
if it says open circuit, the clutch coil has gone.
if all these test out ok, take it to be checked for a gas leak.
