Today I was driving home and I get this grinding/skweaking noise from front right wheel. In a straight line it squeaks and a 60Kms plus I feel a pulsating of the breaks or something. Also when turning right around round-a-bouts it makes a grinding noise. I am going to look at it on the weekend but I was hoping someone could give me a heads up on where to start as I have never really done anything myself on this part of the car.
Thought it could be
a) Wheel bearing.
b) Ball Joint.
c) Brake pads.

a wheel bearing yes or disc rotor and I wouldn't be driving the car until you find out..
to get rid of the pulsation you will need to take the disc off but id do it tonight and take it earlt tomoz, most places that machine brakes will close 12pm. I doubt its wheel bearing, they usually make a grumbling sound, not a squeel.
Put the offending wheel up on the gutter and turn the wheel in to see if the inside of the disc is scored, usually they go before the outside. Look for scratched surfaces and feels rough instead of smooth.
It could very well be dust mate or the wear indicator on the pads. If the pads were gone they would make a scraping sound when ever pressed and make a slight sound when driving and turning or roundabhouts.
The wear indicators are a piece of metal sticking up from the pad or shims about 2mm above the bottom of the pad lining to give you enough warning before the pads are shot. They wont always squeel.
If its dust, (doubt it) you can blow it off by using the brakes hard to stop from about 80km/h to about 40, some pads are mega dusty, you will know cause your front rims go so black every 2-3000km (or if you jam the brakes on all the time this will happen regardless).
If you have a rock in there (sometimes 2-3mm rocks get caught in there) just remove it.
My advice, get the discs machined and put a new set of pads in, they will be $35-$40 for pads, not much point putting old pads with new machined discs.
Remember when bedding in new pads, take car for 3-4km drive, no more than 60km/h and slow down to 20km/h every 400m and then keep going. Let car sit for 30min so pads cool. Should improve braking distance.
