I have replaced my AFM with second hand ones twice in the last few weeks, now I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to re-condition them?
and,
The last one I took off, the car was running super black, barely running, and I put on another AFM, the car ran OK again.
The AFM I removed was near 650ohm across pins 1-6, and 1.6V across pins 2-3, back-probed with the ignition on. So it looks OK, but the engine would hardly run.
any ideas?
its Fu*#ed
reconditioned would roughly cost same as a second hand one man so just go wreckers and get another.. keep reciept just incase it is already stuffed from accident and check the hot wire inside is not broken.
thanks nath
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
its worth spraying the sensor wire with contact cleaner
Also try to get the ones with no adjustment screws
hey???
no adjustment screw is this possible????
i have not seen one.... only ones with red plugs in them to stop tampering.... easily fixed :P
Haha maybe it just has that red cover, ill check it out
Nah mine has like a black bit of plastic im pretty sure doesnt come off man
yeah its a plug buddy... it will pop out... for access to screw.... black or red plugs
Well whatever :P They are less temping to f*** around with hows that sound
