    Default electrical fault ideas please

2 weeks ago driving along indicators stopped working, no problem fuse was ok so pulled the flasher unit out had the date march 1988 on it so I got a spare changed them and all was good.
2 days ago driving indicators stopped working again only now there was no stereo, wipers or cigarette lighter, I parked it and would check it out sunday, go out started the car popped the bonnet checked fuses all good and everything works now, so drove to easter lunch and around a bit then home again all good all day, go out to put the car away for the night and what do ya know
no indicators, stereo, wipers, lighter and the red BRAKE light (not PARK BRAKE) is on, on the dash.
    any ideas?
also they all operate on fuses #12, 13, 14, 15 and hazard lights, headlights all work fine.

geez no ideas, well I went out this morning to have a look and of course everything works fine now, drove about 50k's then at a mates place thought I'd have a look under the bonnet checking the battery terminals and other wires I grabbed the main black wire to the negative terminal and it was slopping around like a c@ck in a shirt sleave I tightened it up and no problems YET!

well the problem has arisen again, it appears to be the ignition barrel or switch, if turned to far or not turned back far enough. so basically it depends on how you start the car.
now for the fun part of removing the Full Metal Jacket to replace the barrel and switch then refitting the FMJ.
