    Default [Question] Faulty VL Horn

    Hello,
just replaced some fuses and got my ciggy lighter and air con working and thought that would fix the horn. When the horn is pressed it makes a clicking noise under the bonnet..Would you guys say the horn has just shit itself? just old age? I bought the car a few days ago so i don't know any history about it.
    Cheers

clicking is the horn Relay in the fuse box....
get under car and have a look if there are 2 wires on the horn itself...chances are one has come off, they are only 2 spade connectors for it
    Left side behind bumper,,,

Hey mate, thanks for the reply,
i had alook under the left side of the bumper and found the round little horn, both connectors are connected perfectly. Took the spade type off and looked at it, and it was fine, put it back on and still makes a clicking noise.

    Your car needs Viagra.. lol
No really, there is a screw on the horn that adjusts the pitch of the sound, try loosening it out a couple turns, and try the horn again.
But as has been said, check the wire connections on the horn too, they get dirty and get a bad connection.
If the connectors are lose or have fallen off, get plies and 'gently' squeeze them slightly to tighten them up.

Only other thing I could think of to try would be to use a test light on the horn wires(disconnect them from the horn first), and have someone press the horn button for you.
If you your light lights up, it's a dead horn.
