    Hey mate,
The dash speakers are about a 4in and the way to get em out is pop out the 2 air vent swivel bits with flat blade screw driver and the ul see to Phillip head screws holding the rest of the vent in undo them pull vent case out top speaker covers come off. Hope u can understand this.

I got a pair of 30w rated, 120w peak 4 inches in the front...don't particularly want to get rid of them; spent a good couple of hours ripping appart the dash and a set of red led dash lights(which turned out to be a ****, fixed now though) to shine on my 4inch xplods. But I have to have the majority of sound to the back because the 4inches are trying to produce too much and it sounds like shit. How can i cut back the sound it's producing? I'd like to hear a little bit more treble at the front and cuz having it to the back also means my front tweeters are turned down.

adjust in on ur deck. i cant remember what its called but if you cycle through ur list there is like bass and treble and balance. one of them shifts sound from front to back. so you can have it louder on the back and softer in the front

Yeah it's balance from front to back...i have it on r:9 of 15 it's just too quiet...apparently you can kill bass in the speakers.

I never poped mine out i was too scared of breaking them...just twist the bottom vent sideways it'll expand should do unless it's brittle i guess. Keep the vents closed when doin it.

the vents are held in with two little prongs top and bottom centre, they basically just need to be pushed in at the same time as pulling out to remove...but i didn't do that...the vent only twists around yay far bout 45degrees. Just twist it furthour than its suppose to it'll make the casing around the vent expand, didn't break on me, but i cant promise you it wont.

That's pioneer though, to make sure your not gonna kill your 4" speakers, play it at what you normally play your music at, go into the boot and disconnect your 6x9's to actually see/hear if your actually putting any strain on your 4"'s.
I couldn't hear mine becasue my 6x9's and sub were both putting out alot. 6x9's are ripped now, copped a bit of a hiding in the days before the sub, ppl actually thought i had one . Also a bit of sun now that the tint has peeled and the 4" are stuffed, so im having a pretty good run atm.

depending which way they've been put in the pivot point at the top or bottom flexs to drop the little plastic pin out of it's hole. careful the plastic flexing tab can break with to much pressure, i broke one myself. keep vent closed so you don't lose it if it does break. then good ol superglue tab/pin back on at slight angle so it slips in without re-breaking it. slightly looser fit but better than gaping hole. i'd like to know how you guys fit 6x9 speakers without hacking the metal parcel shelf? it is illegal. and most of the spacer plates make the speakers to close to the rear w/screen.

in the boot there are two metal discs that snap off and they go threw to the parcel shelf i just cut throu the wood and carpet.I then got a set of 1 inch mdf spacers covered it in fabric to match and they sit in perfect
