Hey guys,
just bought this VL and it came with a shitty old stock radio, it wouldn't turn on so i pulled it out, and nothing was connected, so took the radio out all together and there is no wires anywhere to connect a head unit or anything. I've used a torch and put my hand down there, but there are NO wires.
All help appreciated, thank you

are you looking at running a decent sound system? if so it could just be worth your while running your own decent speaker wire through and run your own power/acc and earth wires?
i agree your best option is going to be to rewire your whole set-up from scratch
I have a wagon, how can i run wire threw to the head unit......
EDIT: Can some one explain what to do? i have no wires behind where the head unit sits, just that black cord, pretty sure its an antenna?
Thanks
EDIT: Want to buy a headunit today or next week, but don't have a slightest clue on how to connect it with no wires!?!?! help please

If you open the glove box in the corner there is a hole next to the heater controls you should find a white & yellow plug there somewhere once you locate the plug. you will find in that plug one of the wires is live at all times and another is live when the ignition & acc are on you will have to tap in to this part of the loom to get power and run an earth lead back to the body as for speakers you will have to wire them up on there own directly from the speakers back to the radio
now in the loom the fulltime live wire you find you will use for the mem and the other you will use for swithing the unit on & off with the key
and if sounds to hard take the car to an pro and get them to fit and wire it up
good luck
ps there is also another wire there for the light on the radio you will find that one when you switch on the lights parkers you will need a test lamp or a multimeter for this
