I have the same problem no power to fuel pump no lights on computer and no spark from coil
mynes a 87 berlina N/A auto
ive replaced the computer, relays, , fuel pump, and fuses and its still the same
anyone help us ? anyone have a idear on were to start looking?
would the factory imobuliser cause all this ?
any advice or idears would be blessing thx
OP: have you got alot of rust around passenger side front window ? is there warter gathuring behind the computer like myne was ? i so hope my wireing loom isnt stuffed![]()
recently I have been experiencing odd electrical problems after lots of stuffing about and hair pulling I have now located the problem down to my ignition barrel or ignition switch, and being 22yrs old I think it is just all wearing out.
when you turn the key a rod is pushed down through the ignition switch and connects to various contacts in the switch which activate the electrics and in turn start the engine, if these contacts are worn or broken and the rod misses them then that part of the electrical system will not activate and will cause problems E.g. no power to computer,
just one more thing for you to checkout.
Nobody wants to play with me
not 100% sure if the same problem but when mine stuffed up like that, nothing switched on, no fuel pump , no spark, ect it was the crank angle sensor thing inside the dizzy. the machanic tapped on the dizzy and then everything turned on and it started. so i replaced it and all was good.. oh till i road it off
dont hold me to it, just an idea
i had same problem ... turned out my engine/computer wiring loom was stuffed replaced it yesterday and now i have power at coil lights on computer and the fuel pump is priming .... took me a day to remove a newer wireing loom from my parts car and fit it to my new car and i have never done a wiring loom in a car ever
hope it helps .. i would be going around your car with a multymeter first before replacing it all..
