whats it worth? BERLINA 5.0

VL berlina 5.0 ( don't know auto or manual) DEFECTED for steering play, oil leak (oil was dripping off the sump as it was just serviced and oil spilt down the block) and something else minor can't remember it has to go to regency and will no doubt be DOUBLE defected apparently runs really good and paint needs attention seller is asking $1700 ono
I was thinking $200 - $500.

200-500 is a bit low mate, be realistic, the diff in a 5.0 should be a 28 spline if its original, diff should be worth at least $600 on its own... 1700ono, say hell take 1300-1500, if the bodys good (no rust or dents) and interior decent and your after specificaly a 5.0 VL i think its a decent price to make a decent project

$200-500 for a V8 VL? I think the Berlina's can be fully optioned to Calais specs (electrics ect). My mate just sold his 3L Executive in spray can primer for $1,000, I'm sure he would laugh at $200-500. Around a grand or more he might be a bit more serious.

I am aware broken down it would be worth much more, however as a whole car defected with pending defects (when it hits regency) the cost could balloon on repairs to pass.

I think the $500 offer was a good one. The car is double defected, its going to cost alot to get it legal again.


It will more than likely be auto, only HDTs were manual.
