I'd be doubting it's a fuse...it's probably more likely the one beside the steering wheel...switch is probably stuffed and not disconnecting the contacts when lever is moved down...this could also apply to the door ones...at one stage my back passenger door didn't switch the light on, i wasn't complaining means i didn't have to get cramped up in the backseat if ya know wat i mean but it fixed itself.

With the lever beside the steering wheel when it is pushed up to the top it creates a contact which bypasses the swithches in the door, and sends an active and neutral up to the light to make it work, it this lever is stuffed, having it down will still act as if it is up. And same with the door buttons, when the door buttons are pushed out, it creates a contact and sends active and neutral to the light and when they're pushed in it disconnects the contacts leaving the light off, it only takes one of these buttons to not disconnect to leave the light on.

If you pull out fuse 9 it should turn your light off...but this will also kill your clock...if it doesn't turn off your light then your problem is elsewhere. I've never heard of a vl doing this, so wat im saying is only a possibility. Unless of course you just got that lever beside the steering wheel up
