Default need some ideas on vl thnx

well.... firstly i cant post my pic coz i dunno how to get it 100pixels squared, coz i only get 1/10th of the pic n dunno how to make it smaller, so if i can send my pic to anyone who can make it smaller for me that b cool...

my vl's nice lookn... after $12,000 anyway... vr clubby's, ford blood orange paint, grp a fron bar n grill, LE side and rear skirts... lowered, tinteed windows etc... interior almost finished, i'm stumpted on wot to do with the engine, as it's an 87" engine i'll need to drill, tap, t-piece n all that...

what's the availabilty out there on 88" engines, turbo or not turbo, chasis or no chasis? i've been lookin at importing an rb25det, but found most come stock and need to be upgraded anyway! (turbo, fmic,)

my mechanic told me that something (cant memba wot it was) on my engine was on its way out and can't be replaced... so i got a feeling i'm gunna need a new engine? possibly an 8? VR V6? the car has pottential of autosalon with the paint, kit, interior... n the old man's an electroplater, so the engine could be pulled apart, chrome and stainless steal galore!

the last step i cant decide on... help?

The real question is do you want it to sound good or go quick. Turbo generally better bang for buck depending on who you know. You said rb25det imported std and you wanted it moded, what would you want? The rb25det is an easier fit (generally) in bay but the most important thing is YOU GET WAHT YOU WANT

welll... thanks 4 the quick reply fellas.... i do love the sound of both the 8 and turbo! lol
as i live in coburg "lebo land".. every one i come across asks me that same old annoying quesion... "IS IT TURBZ?" n my answer is consistant... "i wish"
weather it's an 8 or a turbo i'll still need to uprgade the brakes, diff, exhaust etc...

what i REALLY want, is to be able to pick something up that needs stuff all mods.
a 13 second pass would be sufficent for me.

import? ebay? trading post? i dnt need another car, just an engine.
oh and i uploaded a pic in one of the threads!!! da orange 1 lol
    thnx

ohhh great another "more bang for you buck from a turbo wanker"........... im well over this topic. For the same 'buck' youll get more 'bang' from a v8. there are also more avenues of progression for the v8. nuff said.

iwantKw mate im glad your looking toward the v8. vs v8 is the best application. gen 3s were a bit different and not as 'bolt up' as the pre vt 5ltrs. ive been drawing up the same conversion. this is one of the best sites ive found:

ahaha, soz man... just wanted to keep the topic fresh ya no? thought u was calln me a wanker 4 a sec... livin in coburg, u see vl turbo's everywhere, everyone wants to talk sh_t to you about them every where u go... so i know a bit bout em... but i'f i can get a 5.0L ANYTHIN in my car, without havin to strip it down, replace the pistons, grind the shaft... etc.. etc... i'm happy.
my rb30e's had it... i dnt have time for a backyard re-build, or to be shot peening and blue printing... hmmmmmmm... maybe i'm asking too much?
