Default How to wire external tacho in to dash 1988 vl commy

hi guys, just wondering if anyone can help me ( i hope so).
my mate gave me a neo 11000rpm tacho and i was wondering where the wire is behind the dash, to hook the green wire up to. i am sure this is the rev sender wire. any insight would be great.

    cheers

wouldnt you rather hook an after market tacho up straight to the coil? could be an option rather then possibly extending/joining a 20 year old factory wire. but thats just my opinion

u will have to set the RPM for your Shift light to turn on in the mode button setup
Usually there is 2 wires going to shiftlight from the main tacho housing is there 2??
the yellow could be accessories wire for tacho lights so when u have the ignition on, your lights on the tacho are on.
unless the lights are always on with the power for tacho and this wire goes to lights wire so when your headlights are on it dimms the tacho
