Default problem Vl commodore weird noise

Hey guys, i have another question, when in neutral my vl idles sweet as, but when i go to drive it i get a real loud kind of supercharger whine from either the motor or the auto box, I'm thinking gear box. it hadn't been driven or started for 18 months before i got it, could it just be from sitting for so long.
    any suggestions would be awesome.

    Cheers

is the trans over the full mark on the dipstick? (you must check it when engine is warm on a flat surface and at idle)
are your fan belts in good condition? frayed, or overtight.
Nobody wants to play with me

    yeah nath,
i checked it yesterday had it running for ages after i fit the extractors to it, and it is full and clen. still does the whine when you drive it, as soon as you take your foot of the accelerator it stops but as soon as you put it back on it straight up does it again. got me f@%cked on what it is.
