fuel guage.... hmm...

orite... well... my fuel guage is a pain in the butt!
it works probably 1 in 10 times i start my car.
i replaced that float thing that goes into the tank coz i thought that might have been it, didnt change a think, also the fuel filter i replaced.
found when i bang really hard on the dials (with a clenched fist lol) it starts workin for a bit, then when it reached the amount of petrol i think i have, it dies again ans stops workin
any ideas?

could you relate answers to all the guages in the dash. mines got some serious issues

pull ur dash out and there are a few clips behind the fuel gauge, pull the back plate off and sqeeze those clips 2gether, put it back together and put the dash back in and it shoould be alright
