G'day all, I've currently got a VL with the holden 6.
I was wondering if anyone knows what needs to be changed if I were to drop a 308 in it.
And perhaps a rough estimate of cost.
carby v8?i just droped an injected v8 in my vl
i know youl need a v8 k frame
If I drop injected, don't I have to have a roadworthy test? or did they come out with injected?
No, pretty sure its the holden 6, which isnt worth doing up. Where as, if it were the nissan 6, I'd keep it.
read around should be a thread on it

Most 5 litre VLs had a 4 barrel carby. The Walkinshaw VL had fuel injection with twin throttle bodies.
vl's didnt come out with the holden 6 mate, they are a nissan rb30 with a holden logo on the rocker cover.
no? there's the holden and the rb30. There's almost 50kw difference. This is my first VL, and even I'm aware of that.
No. They were nissan rb30e or r330et or carby 5l or walky 5l or rb20e in nz. Theres no aussie 6 in a vl
