    which colour cable is the batery cable and the acc if anyone can help puttin a new headunit in im new to this s#$%

    i dont know without wire diagram, just use a test light it tell which is power and acc..
    I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    either way if you plug the wrong one in youll know about it without much problem.
    if they are the wrong way around your head unit wont keep the clock time saved and will turn off completely when the ignition is off. if it doesnt then you have them around the right way!

    by the way, im assuming ur talking about the loom coming off the deck...? new stereo is it?

    Took me half an hour to find but here it is:

    From the car
    Accesories - Yellow
    Constant - Orange
    Illumination - Grey
    Earth - Black/White
    12V OUTPUT - Pink

    Speakers

    Front Left (+) - Tan
    Front Right (+) - Light green

    Rear Left (+) - Dark Brown
    Rear Right (+) - Dark blue

    I'll see if I can get this added to my pinned list because it's damned useful!

    cheers juzza thats exactly wot i needed couldnt work out wat was wrong cause i got a yellow wire on the back of the new deck.so i assumed the old yellow cable was 12v no wonder i wasnt gettin power im new to all of this

    for some dumb reason the colours are reversed. connect orange to yellow and yellow to orange.

    vlv8vic's advice is good though, the wiring thing was hidden in another message board completely lol, anyhow we're all cool now so it's all good

    or you could of ran new ones, the ones in my vl where ****ed. been sitting there since 87 so wasnt expecting anything flash.
