hey all.
after searching around alot and getting help from alot of people to wire up my vn v8 into my vl and be able to turn key and start i thought i would post up what you need to do with wiring to get car to run..
take in mind im runing a vn-vp 304 and didnt have V.A.T.S in the ecu and didnt have to wire up the trans wirring but can post it up later on for the t700...
once you have installed your 304,eng loom and ecu into your car you need the following
some roles of wirring [$8 for 7mtrs]
test light [$8]
led light [wreckers,jcar etc]
two 30 amp 4 pin relays[one will be efi relay and second will be fuel pump relay] [$15] or so each or go to wreckers and get them.take in mind these relays have numbers on each pin 30,85,86 and 87
ENG LOOM
there should be a blackplug on the eng loom with orange,violet,green,red wire.you can snip the plug off if you like and wire up as follows
EFI RELAY
pin 30 [red wire from eng loom and also wire from battery to pin 30 cia a 30amp fuse so there will be two wires on the one pin]
pin 85 [negative earth]
pin 86 [ign on power]
pin 87 [orange wire from eng loom]
FUEL PUMP RELAY
pin 30 [battery power]
pin 85 [nagative earth]
pin 86 [gree with white trace wire]
pin 87 [wire from fuel pump to pin 87 along with violet wire so two wires on the one pin]
now that you have done this there is a couple plugs in the loom rite near the ecu.
pink wire from memory is anti theft this needs wiring to ign on power[unsure if this is a must but i have done this]
brown with white trace wire is eng check light im 99% sure you need this conected to run car.run your brown with white trace wire to a led light and then run the other pin on led light to ign on power[unsure if you need to run a negative to body]
use your test light and make sure your getting power at all the rite places....car should now start
later on ill edit this and let you know exactly what each colour wire is for.feel free to corect me on anything that needs to be edited but this is how i got my car running from some very good info on a few other sites...

female terminals for relays
Solder and Soldering Iron (if needed)
But good stuff mate
relays have female terminals on the relay holder
yep soldering iron
its on there so dust etc doesnt get in.
