Where is the engine number on an RB30?

I just got a RB30 Turbo Patrol as a parts car for my 4WD and want to do some checking on it.

drivers side above eng mount from memory

its stamped on the block at side near oil filter and usually difficult to read, a mirror and a torch may help

hang ya camera down there and take a photo, that works a treat... may need to clean the machined part first where it is stamped.

Where is it exactly stamped if you didn't know anything about cars?

for someone who knows nothing about engines I will try to explain.
drivers side > oil filter > engine mount > then oil dipstick
if you look between the engine mount and oil dipstick it is there just above an empty bolt hole
the empty bolt hole is just above the block stamp RB30
it is difficult to see and you may need to clean the area to get a better look.
if you still can't find it let us know and I or someone else will post a pic.
