Hi has anyone ever fitted a Vn - Vs live axel Vn diff into a vl.
I know that you will need a disc brake handbrake cable but what about the brake fluid lines will they need to be extended or will it just bolt up.
Also would you need to add a 1" master and booster to avoid spongy brakes ?
thx.
You need to alter or replace the proportioning valve inside the master cylinder (or replace the whole master cylinder) with one to suit four wheel discs if converting from rear drums. You don't need a 1" master, the standard one will be fine as used by the factory with the same rear disc brakes from VB-VS. With the disc brake hand brake cable everything will just bolt up, but the VN onwards diff is around 40mm wider so will only fit properly with relatively narrow wheels and tyres.
is it 40mm wider on each side or all up? Im asking because i have some 17s on my wagon but they scrub on the wheel arch on the inside. (not the guard if ya know what i mean)
