VL broken bonnet latch

Hey everyone new here and just purchased my second commodore a 87 manual 2 litre vl had a vp before it, I know this has probably been discussed heaps ha but the latch on my bonnet is gone and I have no idea how to open it. I brought the car like this so dont know what im looking for so pics and some help would be great

u can manipulate the spring clip behind your bumper (laying on ground look up to the latch) and with a long screwdriver flick it out, can go through front grille as well, i have had to do it b4 not a drama

is it the cable or that actuall lever? if the lever has come off the kick panel like mine all you have to do is pull the lever and wire towards you then lift the lever lol, Makes sense if you have the problem
