difference in motors?

out of curiousity what is the difference between an 88 engine and the rest. you guys are saying the 88 is better, why? I have an 88 model.

Series 1 and 2. Not too many differences really, mainly its just because the series 2 have the bolts there for turbo conversion, instead of having to tap new feeds/ returns.

I have heard that the series 1 has thicker cylinder walls also
