Default check the rubber fuel hose sections

on the VL wagon there are several pieces of rubber fuel hose near the tank that are exposed and can be expected to be in poor condition after 20 0r so years

of 2 specially shaped sections, the lower one is still available from holden but not the upper, which its recommended be replaced by a long piece of straight hose, this had been done on mine but it pinched shut, shutting off the fuel on the freeway, presumably the previous owner never drove fast enough for heat coming back to soften the hose and cause it to kink

these hoses will eventually burst, or blow off from loose clamps, due to the high pressure, if the lower hose goes then all the fuel will leak out which could be intersting in an underground carpark, 16 gallons if full

saw a car (new 4x4) leaking in our underground here. never realised how serious they treated it. they couldnt find the owners so they (they being 3 firstrucks) foamed hell out of it, broke into it and pushed it outside, then drowned it in foam again!
