Does the key come out of the ignition once it's started or do I have an old key or damaged barrel?

lol.. itz coz its an old car.. u will find that with all VL's with there original ignition barrel the key can jus come out..
I wonder what those scales on the top right side of my posts do...
oh yeah damn
yeah same lads both my vl's did the same thing.
Very Handy in some ways :P
The key comes out of the ignition the old commodores from vb-vl maybe vn.
And its a good trick when ya mates dont know tht you have taken the keys out while its running. lol
VB to VL used the same ignition barrels i think... My key worked in a few VLs at the wreckers.

the ignition locks wear so the key comes out when it shouldnt, a new lock can be fitted but I havent been able to get the old lock out
the door locks also wear so that often any old commodore key will open and start any old commodore
I found that my VL key could open and start my mates VH. Only problem was, his would do the same. Which is where a clublock comes in handy.
Had him make the mistake of chucking his clublock on my car once, so i ran to his car, got in and started it up and started moving it out of the parking spot. He took the clublock off mine pretty fast![]()
